FastMed telemedicine visits aren’t right for every medical situation or appointment. However, there are a wide variety of times when a video call is appropriate and convenient. A video call could save you time if you need treatment for certain conditions including:

  • Achiness/muscle pain

  • Acne

  • Allergies

  • Back pain

  • Burns/sunburns

  • Cold/congestion/flu-like symptoms

  • Cold sores

  • Fever

  • Itchy eyes

  • Headache

  • Nausea

  • Pink eye

  • Rash

  • Skin irritations (rashes, bug bites, eczema, skin infection)

  • Sore throat

  • Sprain

  • Superficial cuts and abrasions

Medical emergencies.

Always speak with your healthcare provider to make sure a video call is right for you and your situation. If you have chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, a severe headache, broken bone or other serious problem, please go to the nearest emergency department or call 911.

Here’s all you need for your telemedicine appointment.

  • A current iPhone or Android device*
  • A strong, reliable home Wi-Fi network or 4G/LTE carrier such as Verizon, AT&T, T Mobile or Sprint
  • As you register for the service, make sure you grant access to your microphone and camera, and opt to receive push notifications when prompted.
