FastMed Urgent Care is a proud sponsor of this year’s CharlotteServe volunteer event. CharlotteServe is a volunteer program led by a network of local churches that is dedicated to improving the city of Charlotte, NC and the surrounding communities.
On Saturday, March 24, 2012, about 90 CharlotteServe volunteers gathered on the campus of UNC- Charlotte to enjoy breakfast together before they separated and ventured off to work with various volunteer organizations around the Charlotte region. Some of the organizations included Second Harvest Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, Shining Hope Farms, INREACH and many more. The groups volunteered by performing various activities such as sorting food, cleaning trails, assisting with activities for the elderly and much more.
Afterwards, volunteers enjoyed lunch on the campus of UNC-Charlotte to celebrate all the hard work completed. Congratulations to all of the group leaders, volunteers and organizations that helped make the 2012 CharlotteServe event a huge success!
