More than 50 walk-in locations

Last weekend, Wendell John, practice manager at FastMed’s Wake Forest location volunteered at the 2014 Special Olympics Summer Games.  Over the course of the weekend, more than a thousand Special Olympic athletes competed in events in 19 different sports such as aquatics, gymnastics, powerlifting, softball, track & field, and volleyball and all venues are open free to the public to attend.

Wendell, along with some family members, helped to set up the track and field events. They also cheered, encouraged and escorted athletes across the finish line. Once at the finish line, Wendell provided hydration and support as a part of the volunteer and medical team. FastMed supports the Special Olympics of North Carolina, as well as the volunteer efforts of Wendell John and family!
