FastMed Urgent Care Launches Acne Treatment Program

December 16, 2011 – FastMed Urgent Care is now offering a three-part program to treat mild to severe acne called, ClariSkin. Patients suffering from mild to severe acne can start skin treatments in FastMed clinics without an appointment.

“More often than not, acne sufferers don’t seek treatment from medical professionals,” said Dr. Mel Lee, Chief Medical Officer for FastMed Urgent Care.  “The challenge is that acne isn’t a one-solution-fits-all issue. With ClariSkin, we’re able to customize treatments to help each specific case, which provides better outcomes for our patients compared to those who use over-the-counter options or do not seek medical treatment for their acne.”

ClariSkin is covered under most major insurance plans and FastMed is offering discounts to patients without insurance. During a consultation, a FastMed medical professional will assess the skin’s condition and offer one of three ClariSkin solutions: ClariSkin Daily for mild acne, ClariSkin Super for moderate cases and ClariSkin Max for severe acne. Following the assessment, the patient will receive a customized treatment plan that may include antibiotics or topical medications, depending on the patient and the solution that is right for them.

“Our goal is to combat existing breakouts quickly, prevent future breakouts and avoid scarring. Patients don’t need to be on a three-month waiting list to begin their treatment. They can walk in when it’s convenient for them and be on their way to clear, healthy skin fast,” Dr. Mel Lee added.
