Dr. Lane Tassin completed residency training in internal medicine and practiced emergency medicine for 22 years before entering the field of urgent care in 2007. He joined the FastMed team in 2012 and served Tucson providers as an RMD prior to being appointed Arizona’s chief medical officer in March 2018.
Having had his own medical practice, and also serving as medical director of EDs in North Dakota and Arizona, Dr. Tassin brings a wealth of experience to his new role. An enthusiastic educator, he has created instructional materials, including the Chart Like a Champ! and Practice Like a Pro! essay series for FastMed’s practitioners. He also has developed realistic models for teaching suturing techniques and I&D procedures.
Dr. Tassin and his wife, Dian, have lived in Tucson since 1996. He is an avid motorcyclist and enjoys creating decorative blacksmithing projects and metalwork fabrication in his home shop.
