Jan G. Pickett, FNP-BC, came to FastMed with a broad range and depth of experience, which has given her a uniquely advantageous perspective in her current role. She is responsible for all aspects of the daily operations of 58 clinics in North Carolina. In addition, Jan has taken the lead on multiple national projects that have improved our compliance and value proposition. She previously served as Vice President of Provider Relations for Western North Carolina, is a current Advanced Practice provider, and maintains her ANCC certification. Jan began her carrier at FastMed in 2012 as a provider and practice manager.

Jan has more than 35 years of medical experience, specializing in emergency medicine, urgent care, and occupational medicine. She also is certified in wound care and hyperbaric medicine. Prior to joining FastMed, Jan was a clinical provider at Concentra, with additional duties assisting the Regional Medical Director with provider staffing requirements. Jan was the co-owner of ReGen, PLLC, providing inpatient and outpatient evaluation and management of complex wounds, and hyperbaric consultation and treatment.

A recently retired Lieutenant Colonel with 24 years in the U.S. Air Force, Jan was deployed on aeromedical missions in support of both Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom, as well as multiple other foreign training missions. She was given the special honor of serving as the medical evacuations liaison to the Royal Netherlands Air Force during NATO exercises in Bulgaria in 2011. She was the Officer in Charge of Self Inspections and responsible for her unit achieving the highest grade in the Air Force on their Health Services Inspection. Before transferring to the Air Force Reserve, Jan was a flight nurse in the NCANG for 22 years.
