What Causes Body Aches?
Body aches are often caused by one of the following conditions:
- Viral infections: Viral infections that cause body can range from the common cold to pneumonia. If you are experiencing body aches along with other symptoms, such as fever, cough, or sore throat, you could have a viral or bacterial infection.

- Neurological or psychiatric conditions: Peripheral neuropathy is a common neurological condition that can cause numbness, aches, and pains throughout the body. - Overextending the muscles: Overextending the muscles typically happens when you work out for long periods of time or traumatize the muscles due to an accident, like a car wreck.
