More than 50 walk-in locations

FastMed’s new online check-in to cut patient wait times by more than half

Phoenix, Ariz. – May 23, 2017 – FastMed Urgent Care today announced a newly upgraded online check-in system designed to make patient care even faster.

Patients utilizing the new system can expect to experience a greater than 50% reduction in wait times versus the typical walk-in patient not using the system.

In addition, the system’s newly upgraded features include in-clinic screens to keep patients informed on exactly where they stand in line. Text updates can also be requested which will alert patients regarding what time to arrive. This convenient feature gives them the option to either wait at home or stop for a quick errand along the way.

Additional online upgrades include improvements for those using smartphones and other mobile devices. Due to the steadily increasing usage of such devices, FastMed now offers a more responsive user interface and an all-new mobile website. Both features are designed to provide the necessary information quickly and conveniently to those viewing from smaller screens.

FastMed’s specific updates and improvements include:

  • Expected wait times less than half of those of the typical walk-in patient
  • Convenient text alerts letting patients know when to arrive
  • A new mobile website for easier viewing on mobile devices
  • A more responsive mobile-user interface

“This is more than a simple update,” explains Sami F. Elbadramany, Executive Vice President for FastMed Urgent Care. “It’s a major revamp of the way we handle our entire online process. We’ve made a commitment to delivering even better service to our patients by providing the necessary information and appropriate care in the most timely and efficient manner possible.”

The new online check-in system is already available for patient use online at FastMed.com. Patients not requiring treatment by a provider, or those with critical illnesses, may be admitted to an exam room even sooner, regardless of whether or not they utilize the new check-in system.
