FastMed will hold is 50th urgent care center grand opening ribbon cutting on Wednesday, March 13, at 12 pm for businesses, medical practices and the general public to attend, receive tours and learn about FastMed’s services and medical staff.

The urgent care network’s founder, and current CEO and President of the Eastern Region, Jason A. Williams, operated with a patient-care focused model, which was and continues to be applied to every subsequent center. From 2001 to 2010, the network grew from 1 to 9 Clinics under the direction of Urgent Cares of America, the predecessor to FastMed Urgent Care. In 2011, Urgent Care Express, a network of five Clinics operating in Arizona, was brought under the Urgent Cares of America umbrella. In April 2011, all 14 Clinics were rebranded as FastMed Urgent Care (FastMed).

FastMed is the fastest growing urgent care organization in the country, having grown from 9 to 41 Clinics in the past year, representing a growth rate of over 400% in a 12-month timeframe.

FastMed is a North Carolina-based operator of a network of physician-owned urgent care centers (the Clinics) focusing on the delivery of non-appointment based medicine to the non-emergency patient market, including urgent care, primary care, X-ray services and a discount program for uninsured patients. The Clinics are open 365 days a year and are staffed with experienced and licensed physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners. FastMed, its management company and the Clinics employ over 400 people ranging from physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners to guest services specialists and billing experts.

“Fayetteville has been very kind to me.   I started my career studying at Methodist University in 1992. Today I am happy to be returning the favor by brining high quality healthcare to the community by opening FastMed’s 50th location in a town that I

love and respect”, says Williams.

Like FastMed’s other clinics, Fayetteville’s newest urgent care will offer walk-in treatment every day of the year, onsite lab work, x-rays, occupational health services, flu shots, sports physicals and more.

The clinic is located across from Jack Britt High School in the new shopping center with the Harris Teeter and CVS Pharmacy.
