 Andreas Linke

Formerly a Medical Assistant with FastMed, Andreas “Andy” Linke went back to school to get his Physician’s Assistant license from Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC. He received his B.S. in Chemistry and Biology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Andy joined FastMed in 2008, where he was staffed as a guest service specialist at our Fuquay-Varina location. Andy used his time at FastMed to gain more experience in a clinical setting and later he shifted to the roll of Medical Assistant all while working at a paramedic. While working as a Medical Assistant, Andy began to learn and understand the important role of Physician Assistant (PA). After working with some of our awesome PAs, Andy became more excited about the idea of becoming one himself. Since graduation, Andy will work as PA for FastMed Urgent Care. In his spare time, Andy enjoys surfing, soccer, playing guitar and spending time with his brothers.

FastMed takes pride in its ability to promote employee development. FastMed often times promotes internally, and give employees the opportunities to grow with the company. "I came to FastMed because I was looking for a different experience in healthcare. FastMed allows people to grow and develop character within the company. I'm very proud of Andy and his achievements", says FastMed Practice Manager, Waseem Garbia, PA-C. "FastMed is an extended family, and we are stronger professionally and personally because of each other. Andy's evolution from a paramedic to a FastMed Medical Assistant and now Physician Assistant will benefit our team of healthcare providers and intern each and every patient we see at FastMed. I am so happy for him!" said Cynthia Burkes, PA-C and Practice Manager for FastMed in Fuquay-Varina, NC.

Employees are encouraged to set goals for advancement and are given opportunities and resources to work toward those goals. “Although the company has grown significantly, FastMed has retained its ability to attract people to deliver the best healthcare possible”, said Linke. No matter how quickly the company grows, FastMed is dedicated to train employees in its CRAVE-U philosophy, where patients remain our top priority.

Congratulations Andy! - Your entire FastMed Family
