McDonald's Health and Safety Fair a Big Success
This past Saturday, July 27, FastMed Urgent Care participated in the McDonald’s Backpack Saturday Health & Safety Fair hosted by McDonald’s Restaurants by setting up tables at eleven McDonald’s locations. At the tables, FastMed provided free t-shirts, SPF chap sticks, hand sanitizers and pens, as well as useful information on heat-related illnesses and FastMed’s healthcare services.
The event was a huge success; over thirty-thousand students received backpacks for the upcoming school year, and FastMed was able to support our local communities by supplying thousands of useful give-a-ways and valuable health and safety information. To benefit the families attending the fair, FastMed gave out discounted sports physical coupons and information regarding our discount program for families without health insurance.
FastMed makes it a priority to attend community events like this where we can volunteer our time for the benefit of local families.
Michael P. Dunn, MD, President and Chief Medical Officer of FastMed Urgent Care’s Western Region, says, “FastMed prides itself on providing ‘personal care in your neighborhood.’ Being in community neighborhoods, it’s important that we participate in events like this where we can provide health information and education that benefits the members of the community.”
