Ezekias is a new addition to the FastMed sports medicine team. He has practiced sports medicine in the valley for over seven years. His medical experience includes private practice orthopedic surgery and care of athletes at the high school, collegiate, and professional level. Ezekias also has a master’s degree in exercise science and Biomechanics at Colorado State University; where he researched, wrote his thesis, and published Gender Differences in ACL Reconstruction. He was locally trained, receiving his Physician Assistant degree and a master’s degree in orthopedics and sports medicine from Midwestern University and his bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training at the University of North Dakota.
Ezekias has practiced the full spectrum of athletic health care, from on-field injuries and clinical medicine, to major reconstructive surgery in the operating room. His passion for sports and sports medicine is rooted in his own athletic participation as a track and field, basketball, and mountaineering athlete. Ezekias is also a ten year veteran of the Army National Guard, where he received both individual and unit awards and citations. His humble upbringing and diverse travels have given him a passion for caring for the underprivileged.
Ezekias has called Phoenix home for the last 10 years, where he continues to lead an active outdoor lifestyle with his wife Kelly.
