FastMed celebrates the opening of its first BizTown shop
Phoenix, AZ, Apr. 21, 2016 – FastMed Urgent Care, the fastest-growing urgent care organization in the U.S., celebrated the opening of its first BizTown shop on April 8th at Junior Achievement of Arizona (“JAAZ”) in Tempe. Joined by JAAZ leaders, board members and student ambassadors, as well as more than 75 fifth and sixth graders, FastMed President & CEO, Kyle A. Bohannon, the company’s mascot, FastMed Fred, and a JAAZ student ambassador led the ribbon-cutting.
“Our mission is to positively impact the lives of our patients and their families, and that commitment extends beyond the medical care we provide within our clinics,” said Bohannon at the ribbon-cutting. “We recognize that educating our community’s youth is a critical step in supporting the overall health of our state, and we are proud to partner with Junior Achievement of Arizona in this endeavor.”
JA BizTown® is a learning experience that teaches 4th, 5th and 6th grade students economic concepts, workplace skills, and personal and business finances in a student-sized town built just for them, combining in-classroom learning with real-world application. FastMed has also engaged with Junior Achievement of the Carolinas and will open a FastMed Urgent Care shop in the BizTown, located in Charlotte, North Carolina in August 2016.
