Suzanne Cook

A longtime resident of Roanoke Rapids, Suzanne grew up in a nearby area of southern Virginia.  She worked as a Registered Nurse in the hospital environment for about 10 years before returning to school. She completed two years of pharmacy school before deciding that becoming a Nurse Practitioner would fit her career goals more closely without having to relocate. She has worked in urgent care at Fastmed for the last eight years.

Suzanne is a wife and a paw mom. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three fur babies. She enjoys NFL football and spending time in Emerald Isle each summer.

I enjoy primary care because I want to help patients prevent chronic disease whenever possible. If disease is already present, my goal is to work with my patients to achieve their goals thus preventing further complications. Ultimately, I want my patients to know I care.
