Tuna salad is so easy to make, but most are loaded with unhealthy mayonnaise to get that creamy texture. Instead, this recipe uses an avocado base to make a delicious sandwich full of heart-healthy unsaturated fats, more than 50% of your daily vitamin K, and over a third of the recommended vitamin C. When combined with tuna, which is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, you’ve got a great lunch. This tuna salad can be eaten on a sandwich, or just scooped from a bowl. This recipe makes two servings.
What You Need
1 avocado (pick one that feels very ripe and easy to mash)
2 cans of tuna
2 tsp. garlic salt, or to taste
1 Tbsp. minced onion, or to taste
2 hamburger buns (optional)

What to Do
Peel, pit, and scoop your avocado into a medium-sized bowl.

Add the tuna, minced onion, and garlic salt, and mash it all together with a fork.

Serve as is or put on a hamburger bun for a tasty sandwich!
