Obviously, the healthiest beverage is a tall glass of water. But for those days when you want the refreshing taste and classy look of something a bit more festive, you can’t go wrong with a mocktail. This alcohol-free version of a raspberry mojito (also known as a Nojito) will satisfy your craving for a delicious drink, without loading on those extra empty calories from the alcohol. Use diet ginger ale or soda water depending on what you prefer, and don’t forget a toothpick for the raspberry garnish!
What You Need
6 mint leaves
4 raspberries
4 oz. diet ginger ale or diet soda water
2 oz. fresh lemon juice
0.5 oz. (or to taste) simple syrup, agave, or other sweetener
What to Do
- In a cocktail shaker, muddle the raspberries and mint leaves.
- Add ice, ginger ale or soda water, lemon juice, and simple syrup. If you don’t have simple syrup, it’s easy to make; just boil 1 part water and 1 part sugar. Try using stevia for a healthier option. Only add a bit of sweetener at first – you can always add more to taste!
- Shake and strain into a tall ice-filled glass. Garnish with raspberries and a mint leaf.
