2. Join Your Video Visit
At your appointment time, join the video visit from your phone, tablet, or computer. You must be located in North Carolina during your visit.
3. Get Your Treatment Plan
Your provider reviews your symptoms and sends any prescriptions straight to your North Carolina pharmacy.

Urgent Care Telemedicine works well for many common conditions, and we’ll direct you to your nearest FastMed clinic when an in-person visit is the safer choice. FastMed Primary Care patients: Primary Care Telemedicine visits can address an expanded range of concerns beyond the list below.

Please note: Virtual care is highly effective, but some medical concerns require hands-on treatment. If our online providers determine that your condition cannot be safely managed virtually, you will be referred to one of our urgent care clinics for in-person care.

Who can use FastMed Telemedicine?
Telemedicine visits are available to patients who are physically located in North Carolina at the time of their visit.

Can my prescription be sent to a pharmacy outside North Carolina?
No. Prescriptions from a telemedicine visit can only be sent to pharmacies located in North Carolina.

How do I book a telemedicine visit?
Book through MyChart, then join your video visit from the same account at your scheduled time. If you don’t have a MyChart account yet, you can create one when you book.

What if my condition can't be treated by video?
If your provider determines you need an in-person exam, labs, or imaging, they’ll direct you to your nearest FastMed location so you can be seen the same day.

Are there medications you can't prescribe through Telemedicine?
Yes. Behavioral health, controlled substance, and erectile dysfunction medications are not prescribed over Telemedicine. If you need these medications, please schedule an in-person visit.
