January 2012 – Nine FastMed Urgent Care clinics in North Carolina and five in Arizona are now certified by the Urgent Care Associates of America (UCAOA). This distinguishes FastMed as a true urgent care center, providing patients with walk-in, extended-hour medical attention with licensed providers for a large scope of medical conditions, and has met all of the UCAOA’s established criteria.

“We offer family medicine, flu shots, school/sports/work physicals, treatment of Workers Comp injuries, onsite lab/X-ray, pharmacy and more, all with extended hours of operation,” Blank added. “It’s convenient and cost effective for patients.”
FastMed Urgent Care fills the gap between primary care and hospital emergency rooms. Each UCAOA certified location is equipped with x-ray, laboratory services and is available to perform minor procedures such as casting and suturing. Its friendly medical experts also treat cuts, burns, sprains or fractures that do not require a visit to the emergency department.
