Clayton, NC – January 17, 2013 – From now through March 17, FastMed Urgent Care will offer $10 sports physicals for local students enrolling in sports at their schools.
With 2013 basketball, track, swimming and other winter sports beginning, the state of North Carolina requires all students participating in athletics to receive an annual sports physical. A sports physical is not the same as a regular physical as it geared toward assessing health and fitness of an individual related to a particular sport they are interested in playing.
FastMed Urgent Care’s physical meets the criteria of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association. The physical must be completed by a Licensed FastMed Physician, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
At FastMed Urgent Care no appointment is required to receive a sports physicals, which consist of a health history and basic exam, and can be received by walking into a clinic 7 days a week.
