FastMed Urgent Care recognized as fastest growing company in North Carolina

Triangle Business Journals Fast 50
Puts Largest Urgent Care Organization in the State at the Top of the List

Clayton, NC – December 5, 2013 – FastMed Urgent Care claimed #1 Fastest Growing Private Company at the Triangle Business Journal’s Fast 50 Awards dinner on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at the Raleigh Convention Center in downtown Raleigh.

The Triangle Business Journal unveiled its 2013 Fast 50 Awards list of the 50 fastest-growing private companies in the Raleigh-Durham area with FastMed Urgent Care taking first place. Over 450 attendees representing the technology, biopharmaceutical, medical, real estate, construction and supply industries competed for the TBJ’s Fast 50 first place honor. While the majority of companies recognized by the TBJ’s Fast 50 have been established an average of 20 years, FastMed was established in 2001 and experienced 369% growth between 2011 and 2013 with rapid expansion in the Triangle area and throughout North Carolina.

The Fast 50 winners were selected and ranked based on a formula that counts revenue growth and profitability in the preceding three years (2010-2012). The numbers were analyzed by PricewaterhouseCoopers, a Fast 50 partner. Captive Aire, Coldwell Banker, InServ, LM Restaurants, 02 Fitness, Research Square, The Select Group, TriMark Solutions were among those honored as Fast 50 companies.

“It was very exciting, and I would like to thank each and every FastMed employee for their hard work in contributing to FastMed’s recognition as #1 in growth,” said Jason A. Williams MPAS, Ph.D., President and CEO of the Eastern Region and Founder of FastMed, who accepted the award on behalf of FastMed Urgent Care. “At the end of the day while growth is important we believe in providing convenient, high quality and cost effective health care to our patients. If we take care of our patients, growth will take care of itself.”

“These winners represent organizations that have been champions of growth in the Triangle,” said Bryan Hamilton, publisher of Triangle Business Journal. “These leaders are doing all they can to add jobs and inject cash into our community, and we’re so thankful for it.”

The exact rankings of the finalist companies were revealed at the Fast 50 Awards dinner and were profiled in the November edition of the Triangle Business Journal. For a list of winners, click here for details or visit http://www.bizjournals.com/triangle and search for “Fast 50”.
