FastMed Urgent Care recognized by the Inc. 5000 list of Fastest-Growing Private Companies for 2015

Inc. Magazine Recognizes Fastest Growing Urgent Care in the Inc. 5000 for Third Consecutive Year

August 31, 2015 – Phoenix, AZ:  Inc. Magazine has ranked FastMed Urgent Care, the fastest-growing urgent care organization in the U.S., 1,123 on its 34th annual Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies.  FastMed Urgent Care has been recognized for the past three consecutive years on Inc. 5000, and represents the only urgent care group to hold this distinction.  Additionally, FastMed is the only urgent care company on the Inc. 5000 to have achieved The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for accreditation.

The Inc. 5000 is a list of the fastest-growing private companies in the nation.  Started in 1982, this prestigious list of the nation’s most successful private companies has become the hallmark of entrepreneurial success.

FastMed achieved over 956% growth between 2011 and 2014, with rapid expansion of high quality urgent care centers in rural communities where health care costs, limited options and minimal access are statistically high.  FastMed Urgent Care has grown significantly in communities in which patients have a need for personal, cost-effective and convenient medical care.  FastMed coordinates care with hospitals and physicians in communities to serve patients who have urgent, non-life threatening medical conditions or injuries.

“FastMed Urgent Care’s recognition by Inc. Magazine as one of nation’s fastest-growing private companies manifests the significant progress FastMed has made in expanding quality, convenient and compassionate care to communities across the U.S.,” said Kyle A. Bohannon, President and Chief Executive Officer of FastMed.  “I am very proud of our entire staff in Arizona and North Carolina for their hard work and dedication, personally living FastMed’s mission and values in service to every patient.”

FastMed Urgent Care clinics are an integral part of the health care system, opening access to care for patients of all ages and incomes.  An estimated three million patients visit urgent care centers each week, according to the Urgent Care Association of America.  Urgent care growth is expected to increase even faster with the Affordable Care Act, which will offer new healthcare coverage to over 30 million Americans.

Contributing to FastMed Urgent Care’s rapid growth is an intense focus on quality of patient care and service.  FastMed Urgent Care holds the distinction of being the largest urgent care operator to earn The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for accreditation by demonstrating compliance with the Joint Commission’s national standards for health care quality and safety in ambulatory health care.

“The story of this year’s Inc. 5000 is the story of great leadership.  In an incredibly competitive business landscape, it takes something extraordinary to take your company to the top,” said Inc. President and Editor-In-Chief Eric Schurenberg.  “You have to remember that the average company on the Inc. 5000 grew nearly six-fold since 2012.  Business owners don’t achieve that kind of success by accident.”

Methodology
The 2015 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2011 to 2014.  To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2011.  They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit and independent–not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies–as of December 31, 2014.  The minimum revenue required for 2011 is $100,000; the minimum for 2014 is $2 million.  For more information on the Inc. 5000 and a complete list of the companies ranked visit http://www.inc.com/5000.
