Byrne, Family Nurse Practitioner (“FNP”), to its clinical team in Candler, North Carolina. With more than eight years of experience in family medicine and emergency room care, Kelly will provide primary care as well as urgent care to patients in Western North Carolina at the FastMed Urgent Care in Candler located at 511 Smokey Park Highway.

Kelly has worked in the Asheville area since 2012 providing urgent care to patients of all ages. In addition, she has helped increase the number of quality healthcare providers in the area, serving as a mentor for approximately a dozen local nurse practitioner students in the past three years.
Before moving to Asheville, Kelly was an emergency department nurse at Durham Regional Hospital and prior to that at Brunswick Community Hospital. She completed the Master of Science, Family Nurse Practitioner program at University of North Carolina (“UNC”), Chapel Hill and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at UNC, Wilmington, where she also served as a teaching assistant.
