Bilingual provider excited to support healthcare needs of Latino neighbors
Kernersville, NC, Aug. 16, 2016 – FastMed Urgent Care, the fastest-growing urgent care organization in the U.S., welcomes Roger Gomez, PA-C and R. Brock Phillips, PA-C to the FastMed Urgent Care located at 1024 S. Main Street in Kernersville. The location is open seven days a week, providing walk-in care for non-life threatening medical needs to patients of all ages.
A resident of Kernersville, Roger Gomez is fluent in Spanish and is excited to support the healthcare needs of the local community. He most recently served pediatric and adult patients in a federally funded medical office in nearby High Point and has also worked with adult patients in an internal medicine practice in Winston-Salem. A veteran of the United States Army, Roger ended his military career as a Medical Laboratory Sergeant, having served patients in New York, Italy and locally at Fort Bragg. He graduated from Duke University School of Medicine with a Master of Health Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies.

Brock Phillips brings ten years of Emergency Room experience to FastMed Urgent Care and its patients in Kernersville. Most recently, he worked at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, a level one urban trauma center, and also has experience in a level two rural trauma center as well as pediatric trauma. Brock is certified by the American Heart Association in both Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. An Eagle Scout, he volunteered at community free medical clinics and worked as an EMT/ER tech prior to completing his Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
