North Carolina-based company backed by the Comvest Group establishes common brand platform as part of national urgent care strategy
RALEIGH, N.C., May 2, 2011 — Urgent Cares of America Holdings, LLC (UCA) today launched its new national brand identity, named FastMed Urgent Care, went live with the new fastmed.com, and unveiled a new initiative to upgrade its clinics in North Carolina and Arizona.
“Launching our new brand identity and plans to consistently upgrade our clinics is another important and very tangible step in our strategy to build a family of urgent care clinics that is driven by quality, convenient and personal care in all of the communities we serve throughout the country,” said John Randazzo, FastMed CEO. “As we go through this name change and continue to grow, we’re also reminding the people we serve that it might be a new name, but we’re still providing the same great care they’ve come to expect from us.”
FastMed has 9 clinics in North Carolina and 5 clinics in the Phoenix, Arizona area, with plans to serve more than 7 additional communities throughout North Carolina in 2011. The company maintains a corporate headquarters in Clayton. The rebranding and upgrading of each clinic with new and inviting interiors, new signs and branded collateral will take place on a rolling basis over the next few months.
As they are rebranding, many of the FastMed clinics will be hosting community open house events where neighbors can get free blood pressure screenings, a free first aid kit, and talk with our medical professionals about general health care issues.
With the new fastmed.com website launching today, patients can get in line online before ever going to the clinic in most locations, pay bills online, watch FastMed health videos, get the latest in health tips and breaking health news, and visit the medical library for even more answers to their health questions.
All of the clinics are open 365 days a year and are staffed by highly qualified and certified medical professionals. Patients can access a full suite of urgent and family care services, including: family practice and general medicine; flu shots and vaccines; physicals for schools, sports, camps, and regular adult physicals; injuries; occupational medicine; x-rays; labs; EKGs; IV fluids; stitches. Most insurance coverage is accepted.
